As of Fall 2015 The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers four newly redesigned full time graduate programs:
- MA in Sociology
- MA in Anthropology
- PhD in Sociology
- PhD in Anthropology
We are a joint department (Sociology & Anthropology) where students are offered a solid foundation in each discipline AND are invited to engage in innovative interdisciplinary studies. Graduates are equipped with a comprehensive foundation in social theory, substantive courses in specific areas of research interest, and rigorous training in research methodologies, a particular strength of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at SFU. Graduate students and their faculty supervisory committees work collaboratively to tailor programs to meet each student’s unique goals.
The Arts and Social Science Co-op Program is an experiential learning program for students in undergraduate, post baccalaureate diploma, and Master’s degree programs. [More information...]
